Amanda McNutt, MA, CCC-SLP
Amanda McNutt is the owner and therapist at Cornerstone Speech Services. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has been working in the Sacramento area for about five years. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from CSU, Chico, graduating in 2009. Since graduating, she has worked in a multitude of settings including schools, private practice, outpatient, acute hospital setting, skilled nursing, and home health. She has worked with all ages from 17 months old - 100+ years of age. Amanda has worked with various disorders affecting speech, language, fluency, articulation, cognition, social/pragmatic skills, swallowing, voice, and oral motor development. Amanda absolutely loves her career as a Speech Pathologist but more importantly, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and dogs, Hope and Lucy.
In addition to Amanda's experience diagnosing and treating various speech, language and articulation disorders, she has received specialized training in the following areas:
Orofacial Myology: The treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, and overall mental and physical health.
Hanen "More Than Words": A program designed for parents of children ages 5 and under on the autism spectrum and with other social communication difficulties.
Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT): An effective treatment for individuals with Parkinson's Disease and other neurological conditions.

Claire Aleck, M.S., CCC-SLP
Claire is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has been a part of the Cornerstone team since 2020. Claire attended the University of Toledo for her undergraduate studies and graduated from Ohio State University with her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Claire has completed trainings in PROMPT, Gestalt Language Processing, sensory needs, and Early Intervention Speech Therapy. Throughout her career, Claire has gained experience working with both the pediatric and adult populations.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys playing pickle ball, tennis, and paddle boarding. Claire is very close with her family and enjoy spending time with friends. She is also passionate about art, music, and travel.
Alicia Brandt, MS, CCC-SLP
Alicia Brandt has been with Cornerstone Speech Services since August 2023. Alicia graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from California State University of Sacramento in 2011 and then obtained her SLPA license in the summer of 2011. Since then, she has provided speech services in early intervention, school, and private practice settings. Alicia recently graduated with her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Maryville University and completed her clinical fellowship year at Cornerstone Speech Services. Alicia is now a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being out on the water, paddle boarding.
Monica Stone,b.s., SLP-A
Monica Stone has been with Cornerstone Speech Services since December 2021. Monica received her Associate of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting from American River College. She recently received her Bachelor’s Degree from Abilene Christian University. In pursuit of her dream to be a licensed Speech- Language Pathologist, Monica is now attending graduate school to receive her Master’s Degree. Monica specializes in working with the pediatric population as client-family centered therapy is her passion.
Above all, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Monica loves all things outdoors such as hiking, exploring, camping, and fishing.
Love Nelson, office manager
Love Nelson is our Office Manager here at Cornerstone Speech Services. Love’s educational background consists of degrees in the areas of early childhood development, music, social sciences, and liberal arts. She previously owned and ran a childcare center.
Love is a Sacramento County local. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is very active in her church and community.
